  • The Theatre Program has over 150 students, all of whom partake in Acting and Technical Theatre classes, and our co-curricular Career and Technical Student Organization (EHS Drama Club/Thespian Society). Our curriculum courses offered are Beginning Drama, Intermediate/Advanced Drama, Improv, Technical Theatre I, II & III. All drama courses are semester-long and students receive 0.5 fine arts credit; our technical theatre I course is a full-year course in which our students receive a 1.0 fine arts and 1.0 CTE credit; Technical Theatre II & III are both semester courses and students receive 0.5 fine arts and 0.5 CTE credit. Our extracurricular program provides an opportunity for students to earn varsity letters and points toward induction into the International Theatre Society - an Honor Society for the Performing Arts. Our local chapter is the Washington Thespian Society. Thespian Society attends three main events each year; Regional Competition in January, State Thespian Festival and Competition in March, and International Thespian Festival and Competition in June. Year to year, we include multiple field trip experiences, including trips to Seattle for professional productions, theatre tours, workshops, and festivals.

Everett High School’s Theatre program is fortunate to have a supportive parent community – the EHS Drama Booster Club – who support the programs with financial and volunteer assistance and ensure that our students receive the richest arts experience possible while at Everett High School. Boosters work with students and faculty to fundraise thousands of dollars annually. These funds supplement our ticket sale profits and assist with the purchase/rental of costuming, field trips, travel accommodations, festival fees, professional mentoring, production shoes, and much more. The boosters are an ever-changing dynamic group of parents and welcome new families throughout the year. If you feel you have the talents to offer our program, you can contact ehsdramaboosterclub@gmail.com.

It is incredibly important to provide the highest level of drama education to our students. We build workshops, residencies, and mentorships into our courses and extra-curricular in multiple disciplines, including music direction, vocal direction, scenic design, lighting design, script writing, costuming, acting, and dance/choreography. Artistic partnerships include 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle Rep, Book-It Repertory Theatre, and independent working artists.

The EHS Theatre program welcomes students 9 - 12th grade of all abilities, levels of training, and experience. Everett drama takes pride because we have students in our courses and extra-curricular program representing the diversity of Everett High and continue to create an environment that honors the community and the ever-changing population of our school.
