Welcome incoming 6th graders, Class of 2030!
For questions related to being a 6th grade student for the 2023-2024 School Year, email HEACounseling@everettsd.org. However, please note that there are aspects of the process that are still pending. Consider this before sending an email prior to March 13th.

Ms. Jocelyn Smith will be your school counselor from 6th - 8th grade!
She is currently the 8th grade counselor, but once they go off to high school, she will return to 6th grade to support you as you transition to middle school.

Wednesday, March 22nd: Heatherwood 5th Grade Family Night
Save the date! We look forward to seeing you at Heatherwood from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM.
March 13-29: Home Access Center (HAC) is now open. Students will make their official course requests on HAC. HAC will close on March 29th.
To assist with entering courses into HAC, Heatherwood counselors will visit elementary schools:

Mill Creek ES - 11:40 AM - 12:40 PM

Course Selection Process:
Step 1: View the Heatherwood Welcome presentation. This is what is presented to 5th graders the week of March 13th. Watch the video here.
Step 2: Review the 6th Grade Course Options for a list of required classes. For course descriptions, look at our 6th grade Course Catalog.
Step 3: Complete the 6th Grade HAC Course Request Worksheet. Completing this worksheet before using HAC is highly recommended.
Step 4: Student Video Instructions and Parent Video Instructions for entering course requests into Home Access Center (HAC).
Step 5: HAC is open for students/families to enter course requests. HAC will close on Wednesday, March 29. Enter or modify your course requests during this time.
