The food drive will run from November 6th to December 14th. Our food drives help support our local Mill Creek Community Food Bank, Mill Creek Community Food Bank supports a range of 80 families in need who live in the 98012-98208 area. Mill Creek Community Food Bank is close to Jackson’s heart as it started in one of our portables with the help of some of our student’s parents and our faculty. It grew immensely and was such a need for our community that it’s moved to its current location, still helping those in need! Last year, our food drive raised 22,000 cans all thanks to our amazing students and staff. The food that we fundraised together kept the food bank running until March, just in time for our spring food drive.  Our goal for this year is to reach 23,000 cans of food. Food donations are the first priority as far as donations go, and a list of most needed non-perishable foods is attached. Cash donations will also be collected and are used to buy fresh produce, milk, and eggs. The point system this year will be 1 can/ food box = 1 point and $1= 1 point. All donations will be collected for each 1st period class by our Leadership class every morning who will keep track of points and cash.
