The Jackson Dance Team is a competitive, year-long sport that competes in Hip Hop and Dance. We focus on teaching the kid, not just the athlete. Through the discipline of Dance and exercise, we teach valuable lessons to prepare our athletes for life after high school. Our goal is to encourage and prepare our students for whatever life throws at them. We problem solve, test limits, support each other, hold each other accountable, laugh at ourselves, and even fail. We believe that failing is the fundamental element of growing - without failure, there is no growth, and we provide a safe environment to be able to do this. Dance Team is a place for students to explore their individuality, while learning work ethic, independence, discipline, teamwork, and grit.

    Aireal Hart, Head Coach

Aireal has been coaching the Jackson High School Dance Team since 2013. She studied dance for 10+ years at Turning Pointe Dance Centre, Westlake Dance Center, and competed with the Jackson Dance Team from 2005-2008. Her coaching philosophy focuses on using discipline through dance to prepare students for life after high school. She believes adolescents do not receive enough life skills lessons to prepare them for "the real world" and does what she can to help them become successful adults after they leave her program. When Aireal is not coaching, she is working full time at a local media company as a Marketing and Event Coordinator and enjoys spending as much time as possible exploring the PNW with her fiance Daniel.
