New YouTube video. We have created a YouTube video for Step 1: Apply for Admission and Step 2: Complete the Program Application. We have not been able to complete a video for Step 3: Registration/Payment. The videos may be viewed at

We find the application process is much smoother if you have your students apply for admission as a class under your guidance.

Marketing and Distributing Program Information: We will not be providing printed handouts for students this year. Please direct students/parents to the website:

Placement/prerequisites: We have no changes for placement/prerequisites this year. We are keeping the model where the high school teachers are responsible to verify that placement/prerequisites have been met. You will use the student’s high school transcript and/or Smarter Balanced Assessment Scores or you can override placement with Instructor Permission. Please see the attached Teacher Handbook, pages 8-11 for more details or the Teacher/Faculty Information page on the web. Select “. Select “Course placement verification information

Student eligibility: No changes by the legislature. Only students in grades 10-12 may participate. We continue to advocate for the inclusion of 9th grade students.

Fee: The fee will remain at $220 per 5-credit course.

Fee waiver: Yes, we will continue to offer fee waivers to students who qualify for free or reduced meals. The maximum waiver is two classes. This is only for students who attend a high school in Snohomish County.

College in the High School Information Session: We are offering four College in the High School Information Sessions via Zoom.

Anyone can attend and we are specifically asking you to market this to students who would be new to the program. The dates, times and Zoom links can be found at:
