Hello Jackson Community,
I have moved all resources to Canvas.
- STUDENTS: You should be able to log on to Canvas and show your parents the updates that are posted on a daily basis.
- PARENTS: I currently see you as "observers" in my Canvas course, so you should be able to access the site. If you cannot log in, check this website: https://www.everettsd.org/Page/31098
If you have any issues accessing Canvas, please email me. I will check email routinely Monday-Friday, usually between 7am and 3pm.

About me:
This will be my fifth year at Jackson High School and my ninth year teaching mathematics. I will be teaching Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus this year in addition to coaching our high school robotics team (FRC 2910 Jack in the Bot).
My priority as a math teacher here is pretty simple - teach math. To do that means that I adjust how I teach to fit how you learn, regardless of if you have always been "good" or "bad" at math (whatever that means). If you consider yourself "good" at math, I look forward to asking you questions worth your time and energy. If math has always been tough, I look forward to helping you find success in this class.
I come from a family of teachers. My mother and sister both teach first and second grade in the Shoreline and Edmonds school districts. All three of us graduated from Western Washington University. I was lucky enough to meet my wife Sarah while at Western and we are excited to own a home near Jackson HS. This is a school district I am proud to be a part of and to have my own daughter, Riley, grow up in (she is 1.5 now).
The best way for students to talk to me is
1. Attend class and talk to me.
2. Come in after school
3. Email
If you have any questions or concerns about math or robotics while here at Jackson, please feel free to contact me. My email is: kpihl@everettsd.org
