    Follow-Up from Meeting:

    Thank you to all who attended our trip Zoom meeting last night!  In addition to the trip specific info we talked about our upcoming Mattress Fundraiser, which we need EVERYONE's help with!  We know this sounds like an odd fundraiser but it really works!  Unlike other fundraisers, where parents generally buy something (like cookie dough) that they don't necessarily need, this fundraiser doesn't need you to buy a mattress!  We do NEED EVERYONE'S HELP though by sharing this event with everyone you know!  

    ·         Mattresses?  Really?  - Yes, really!  Statistics show that in any given year about 10% of the population buys a new mattress.  That means that in any community throughout Western Washington there are thousands of mattresses bought/sold each year!  Running this event provides an opportunity for community members in the market for a new mattress to purchase something they need AND support our program in the process! 

    People will find all the same types of products at our event as they would at any other mattress retailer.  That’s top name brand mattresses, adjustable frames, luxury pillows, etc. and all the same services are available too – delivery, haul-away, warranties, comfort guarantees, financing, etc!

    ·         Who is CFSBeds / The Mattress Fundraiser – This was one guy’s crazy idea to support a local high school football team back in 2005.  Since then, Custom Fundraising Solutions has grown to 92 locations across the country and has raised groups, just like ours, over $50 million dollars!  Here in Western Washington we work with local owners Nancy & Derek Morawski who have raised over $1.6 million for local groups right here in the Puget Sound since 2014.

     

    ·         What does it look like – CFSBeds comes in with 30 different mattresses and will turn our Commons into a mattress showroom for one day only!  People come out and shop from this event just like they would at any store!  Come try out all the latest in bedding technology!  CFSBeds provides knowledgeable staff to help customers find what they need, aiming to help educate, not “sell” to anyone! 

     

    ·         What’s in it for us – Jackson Music makes money on absolutely everything that we sell on Saturday, February 24th!  We’re paid out in a number of different ways but the more we sell, the more we’ll make, earning between 45 and 60% of the net profits (on average) from the days event!  That’s HUGE! 

     

    ·         What do we need to do –The easiest way to make this event a TREMENDOUS success is for each Jackson Music family to find just 1 person in the market for a new mattress and get that 1 person to the event!  Since 1 in 10 people are going to purchase a new mattress this year you should be able to have 10 conversations and find 1 person who needs a new mattress!  The BEST way for all of us to find our 1 person is to go out and talk to our friends, neighbors, co-workers, and extended families!  Word of mouth advertising works sooooo much better than any electronic method! Here's some additional ways to share this event:

      • Send the attached flyer via text to all of your contacts asking them if they happen to be in the market for a new mattress?  If they respond yes, then share some additional information with them! 
      • Forward this email to everyone you know and let them know that if they need a new mattress there's never a better time to buy, supporting Jackson Music in the process!
      • Post the attached flyer on any social media platforms that you utilize!

    That’s it!  All the details in a nutshell!  PLEASE do your part!  Honestly, if every Jackson Music family takes on the responsibility of bringing 1 person who is in the market for a new mattress to the event we will surpass our goal!  Other groups, both here in Washington and across the country, have made upwards of $25,000 in a single day!  One group even made over $58,000!  We are asking for your help so please do your part to support Jackson Music!
