• JHS DIVE EVENT

With few pools having both a dive tank and a lap pool, our divers practice and, most often, compete separately from our swimmers. We all come together at one or two meets during the season, at District finals, and at the State Championship. Diving is the 5th event in a Swim & Dive meet.

    Join the JHS Divers!

Everyone is welcome and no springboard diving experience is necessary! JHS Dive is a great place if you're a gymnast, dancer, jump roper, trapezist, trampolinist, skier, snowboarder, hockey player, or skater.

    Must be comfortable:

    • Diving into the water off the wall
    • Submerging head completely
    • Swimming from the middle of the pool to the wall
    • Overcoming fear
    • Being upside down!

As a high school diver you will:

    • Dive from a 1.0-meter springboard
    • Learn and use the 5 main categories of dive
    • Understand dive numbers, codes & scoring
    • Complete dive-submission sheets.
