MEET INFORMATION
High school swim meets are run by volunteers. If you are a swim parent, we encourage you to volunteer as a timer (no experience necessary) or if you are already a swim official, please volunteer to officiate our home meets. Decks are often crowded with swimmers, so if you would like to see your swimmer compete, be a volunteer!
Transportation will be provided to away meets. On occasion, a bus will be provided for the return trip; for the most part, however, return transportation will need to be arranged by the swimmer.
Here are the usual pools where swim and dive meets and practices take place.
Swim Time Standards (Qualifying Times)
In order to qualify to attend District and State Championship meets, swimmers must meet or beat certain time "cuts." These times change annually. If a swimmer makes the District/State cut, they will then swim at the preliminary meet (Prelims). The top two heats of swimmers move on to swim at Finals.
Self-Drive to Meets
Athletes who wish to drive themselves to a non-home meet will need to complete a Private Vehicle form and return it to Mary Lou. Download the form here.
