EVENT ORDER AND DESCRIPTIONS

The four strokes are Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Freestyle.

All swim events are in yards. The competition pool is 25 yards in length.

• 50 yards = 2 lengths
• 100 yards = 4 lengths
• 200 yards = 8 lengths
• 500 yards = 20 lengths

The dive event is from a 1.0-meter springboard.
