Stuff the Bus for Kids! This program joins community groups to gather and accept donations of back to school supplies to help our kids have the tools they need to start off the school year right. Our community partners include:
The Boeing Company, Durham School Services, Fred Meyer, Molina Healthcare, Northwest Plus Credit Union and the Everett Association of Paraeducators. Over 1,875 stuffed backpacks are then delivered to our schools in time for the start of the school year.New Staff Welcome Breakfast - This is a breakfast event hosted by the Foundation to welcome new staff to the district.October
All in for Kids! - This is our Annual Fund campaign supports each student, each classroom, each day. A donation of $365, a dollar a day, is critical to the success of our students, our schools and our staff. Donate here to be All in for Kids!!High School and Beyond Events - The Foundation is the signature sponsor of this district initiative to put on a college and career fair for all ages at the three comprehensive high schools. In addition to this sponsorship, the Foundation members act as "ambassadors" for the event, providing assistance as needed.The Everett Public Schools United Way Campaign - Join United Way on it's CORE journey: Creating Open Roads to Equity.you, in partnership with United Way, Everett Public Schools and Everett Public Schools foundatio can change the trajectory of children and their families in our community for generation to come. Learn more by watching the video, United WayMarchA Brighter Tomorrow starts TODAY! - Our Annual Benefit Breakfast is the largest of our community donation events with over 500 business, school and community guests in attendance. Current education themes are explored and news from our Superintendent is shared. Funds raised from this event directly benefit student achievement through the programs of the Foundation. The 2020 event will be Wednesday, March 4th at the Edward D. Hansen Conference center at the Angel of the Winds Arena. Artwork is judged and awards are presented to students. At the high school event, the Visual Art Scholarship is presented to the winning student interviewed by Foundation board members. In addition, the Superintendent's Art Purchase award is announced. The student's artwork is purchased by the Foundation and prepared for permanent display in the Community Resource Center.MaySuperintendent's Scholar Awards - The top three scholars from each high school are interviewed by a panel of community, Foundation and school staff and one student is selected as the Superintendent Scholar for the respective graduating class. Each student is honored at a moving program that showcases these gifted students and the educators who inspire them to achieve. Our Emma Yule members are invited to attend as well as each student's family and their honored educator.May/JuneHigh School Scholarship nights - The Foundation holds over $1.0 million in endowed and restricted funds that are invested with Washington Trust Bank and distributed yearly in the form of scholarships to our graduating seniors. Students are usually selected by each school's scholarship committee. Scholarship awards are presented by Foundation members or by family members of the honored individual.
