Welcome to Public Records

Thank you for your interest in Everett Public Schools. Due to the Governor’s mandate ordering the closure of all schools in Washington State to halt the spread of the Coronavirus, the public records office is currently unable to respond to new requests for public records until after schools re-open.

New requests for public records can be sent to publicrecords@everettsd.org, where you will receive an automated reply that will serve as an acknowledgement that your public records request has arrived in our mailbox and will be logged in as received once the mandated closure of schools is rescinded and staff return to regular schedules. Your request is important to us and we will contact you as soon as possible after schools reopen, currently scheduled for April 27, 2020.

For requests submitted prior to Monday, March 16, 2020, please note that you may expect delays in the anticipated time it will take to complete your request for records. While staff work to process open requests during the school closures, the uncertainty and rapidly changing environment as we respond to the Coronavirus, may at times limit the district’s resources and availability to respond to your request. Staff will contact requesters on or before the next anticipated response date previously provided, to keep you apprised of the status of your request for public records.

  • Sarah Mack
    Public Records Officer

    Office Hours:  7:30 a.m - 4:30 p.m.

  • We strive to make access to public records as convenient as possible while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, including the Public Records Act (RCW 42.56).

The district's records may be requested by the public, and many records are fully or partially available for public viewing. As our business is most often about students, families, and staff, some of the information contained in certain records may be protected under federal and state privacy laws.

Many of the records citizens are looking for are available without submitting a public records request. We encourage you to please take a moment to review our Frequently Asked Questions and list of Indexed and Commonly Requested Public Records to see if the records you are seeking are publicly available before beginning your request for public records.
