Vaccination Mandate for Contractors

  • On August 20, 2021, Governor Jay Inslee issued Proclamation 21-14.1 titled "COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENT" which requires all employees and contractors in Educational Settings be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if the contracted work is required to be performed in person and on site.  “Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19” means two weeks after an individual has received the second dose in a two-dose series of a COVID-19 vaccine (e.g., Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) or a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson (J&J)/Janssen) authorized for emergency use, licensed, or otherwise approved by the FDA or listed for emergency use or otherwise approved by the World Health Organization.

The District will require the contractor to assume responsibility for vaccination verification and accommodation requirements consistent with, and as required by, Proclamation 21-14.1 and applicable state and federal laws by obtaining a copy of, or visually observing, proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 for every employee and subcontractor who is subject to the vaccination requirement and who will be supplied as means to fulfill their contract.

In addition, the District will require each contractor submit a signed Declaration indicating compliance with the Proclamation.  The completed Declaration form and/or questions may be emailed to the Procurement Department.
