    The bid for the four vestibules upgrade in the north region is due April 18.  The solicitation for bid for the four vestibules upgrades in the south region was approved by the board on April 9 and will advertise starting on 4/15 & 4/22.  Drawings for fencing at Lowell & Emerson elementary schools will be finalized this month to go out for bid.

    Design work is underway for the following eight schools that will receive safety and security upgrades this summer: Emerson, Garfield, Hawthorne, Whittier, Jefferson, Lowell, Silver Lake elementary schools and Jackson HS.

    Letters were received from Botesch, Nash & Hall, project architect, recommending approval of final acceptance for the seven safety & security upgrade projects:  Cedar Wood ES, Mill Creek ES, Penny Creek ES, Silver Firs ES, and sixteen schools in the North, Central and South areas of the district.  The board will be asked to accept these projects as final and complete at the March 05 board meeting.

    Plans for the first four schools are expected in the next week for final review.  Once approved, the board will be asked to approve solicitation for bids by early March.  Plans for the next four schools are expected in mid-February.  Follow-up meetings for access control at Tambark Creek ES is planned for mid-February.

    Drawings for the first four schools to have interior vestibules are due to owner in early January.  Punch list items for office remodels were completed. Pre-construction meetings with the electrical and access control contractors took place for North MS & Tambark Creek ES in early January.  Pre-construction meetings regarding network separation and audio-visual operations are to follow.

    Plans for the 2018-19 project work are underway which includes interior vestibule designs for 8 schools and fencing plans for 3 schools.  Access control will be implemented for North MS & Tambark Creek ES in mid-2019.

    Video intercom system and access control system (card readers) are in operation at all of the 22 planned schools.  The office remodels at Penny Creek, Silver Firs, Cedar Wood & Mill Creek are complete.  Punch list work is nearing completion.  Plans for additional safety & security upgrades are in process for 2018-19.

    Video intercom system is currently in operation at all of the 22 planned schools. The access control system (card readers) is in operation at seventeen school, with the remaining schools being trained and brought on line by the end of November. The office remodels at Penny Creek and Silver Firs are complete. Punch list work is nearing completion at Cedar Wood and Mill Creek.

    Video intercom systems are currently in operation at 20 of the 22 planned schools.  Two south-end schools (Mill Creek & Cedar Wood) have their offices being remodeled and the video intercoms will be operational by end of month.  Access Control Systems (card readers) are currently in operation at fifteen of the 22 planned schools.  The remaining seven schools (including CW & MC) will be in operation by end of November.  Woodside ES & North MS will have video intercoms and access control systems installed as part of their modernizations.  Everett HS & Cascade HS are not included in this work.
