Community Connections

  • two staff working with community member Everett Public Schools is an active participant at the national and state levels, throughout Snohomish County, and within our local communities to improve how technology is utilized by students to transform learning.

Staff are participating in the state revision of the state's educational technology standards, attending national and state conferences to build a network and exchange ideas about the very best practices, and finding partnerships with other districts to find the very best resources to connect students to the digital tools that will most enhance their growth.

Partnerships with our vendors has extended the reach of the district's programs into the community. Hoonuit, a technology tutorial platform, has opened accessibility to their online trainings to district families and local organizations who care for our students after hours. Sprint is supporting high school students in need of home Wi-Fi accessibility support.

Our robust Career and Technical Education program includes a wide variety of courses and student organizations aligned to the area's high demand and high tech career opportunities. Partnerships include an impressive list of community partners who advise and co-teach across the schools.

One of the district's  many advisory councils is the Technology Advisory Council. This group has been instrumental in developing and now guiding the implementation of Integrated Technology Plan. In monthly meetings, the council provides guidance on initiatives, funding, and sustainability of our efforts.
