Annual Events

  • Hour of code students on computers Everett Public Schools hosts many family and community events throughout the year to highlight how technology is integrated into our schools. 

    Key events include:

    • Beyond the Hour of Code
      • Highlights the integration and importance of computer science and inspires a new generation of coders from a wide variety of backgrounds. The annual Hour of Code campaign boasts of engaging 10% of the world's students and is one example of computer science education going on throughout the district.
    • Parent Tech Talks
      • Staff and guest experts host school-based, district-wide, and community sessions on key elements of the Integrated Technology Plan, digital citizenship, and digital tools that are accessible to families. Another parent technology talk is scheduled February 28, 2018, Parenting in a Digital Age with Eduro Learning's Jeff Utecht.
    • Innovation Expo
      • Each year, Everett Public Schools celebrates innovation highlighting each school's work, use of technology, district programs, and community and professional organizations. Hosted at the Xfinity Arena each spring, the Innovation Expo central celebration is our STEM competition. Filling the arena floor are displays of young minds hard at work.
