The district developed safety and security guidelines to provide consistency across the district. The design consists of new doors and hardware installed at strategic locations and secure vestibules. The original provisions have been adjusted to include more schools, add a front door video intercom system and implement a district-wide access control system (ACS) for additional security.

Video intercom systems help provide building safety by controlling who enters our schools.
Access control systems provide electronic protection to the building; only those with district assigned badges will be allowed to enter schools freely. All others must use the video intercom system to gain access.
Security vestibules provide a glassed-in double entry and all visitors must check in with the office staff before they can enter through to student areas.
Additional miscellaneous work includes fire alarm system upgrades, new fencing and gates.
