Everett HS Vocational Building boiler replacement (completed)

The scope of work includes replacing the existing boilers, pumps, controls, and appurtenances in the Vocational building.

The project is complete. 

July 1, 2022
The punch list work has been completed and the project has been submitted to the board for final acceptance. 

May 2, 2022
The contractor is verifying completion of two final items and then a back-check of the punch list will be performed. 

April 1, 2022
There is a new project manager at JH Kelly and he has been engaged to complete the punch list items.

March 1, 2022
The boiler flues and vents are being reworked to comply with manufacturer’s requirements.  We are nearing the end of the project close-out process.

January 4, 2022
A few punch list items and the final commissioning report remain to complete.

November 29, 2021
A little bit of punch list work and some commissioning remains.  The project is otherwise completed.

November 1, 2021
Adjustments are being made to the Test & Balance report.  One extra work item remains to be completed, along with the commissioning report and punch list work.

October 4, 2021
The new boilers are in place and were started yesterday.  Pipe insulation, Test & Balance, commissioning and training remains to be completed.

August 31, 2021 
One boiler, one pump, shop fabricated fittings and piping accessories are on-site.  Piping work began on Thursday of last week.  Lead times on the remaining components are close and the contactor is revising the schedule.  We anticipate having at least one boiler online by the end of September.

July 2, 2021
The existing boilers, pumps and ancillary items have been removed.  Work has begun to prepare for the new boilers and pumps.

June 2, 2021 
JH Kelly is under contract and has received a Notice to Proceed.  Submittals have been received and are under review for the long lead items.  The first project meeting is on Tuesday of next week, 6/8/2021.

May 13, 2021
The board approved the award of bid to the apparent low bidder, JH Kelly, and the Letter of Award has been sent with the contract.

April 28, 2021
Seven bids were received and the apparent low bid has been submitted to the board for their approval at their regular meeting on 5/11/2021.

April 9, 2021
The project is out to bid.

March 11, 2021
The permit has been approved by the City of Everett and is ready for pick-up.  The project is being submitted to the board for their approval a call for bids at their 3/23/2021 meeting.  Bid documents are in hand and under review.

January 20, 2021
Mechanical progress drawings have been submitted and design work continues.

November 30, 2020 
The design intent was confirmed to be valid with maintenance and the design team is working on the Design Development phase.

November 1, 2020 
A detailed description of the design intent has been received and will be reviewed with maintenance and the engineer.

October 20, 2020 
Greenbusch is under contract and design work has begun.

October 1, 2020 
Greenbusch has submitted a proposal for issuance of a contract to get the design phase started.

September 22, 2020 
The mechanical engineering firm, Greenbusch Group, has been chosen as the design engineer for the project.
