The scope of work includes the removal of the existing synthetic turf and track surfaces and the installation of a new football/soccer synthetic turf field and synthetic track surface.

Astro Turf (Coast to Coast) has completed the removal of the old turf. FieldTurf (Beynon) has completed most of the track removal.  

May 18, 2022
The contract with FieldTurf (Beynon) has been signed and executed. A Notice to Proceed (NTP), dated May 23, 2022, has been issued. FieldTurf’s first day is scheduled for May 31. Coast to Coast is scheduled to begin work on-site on Monday, May 23. 

April 13, 2022
Turf contractor – AstroTurf (Coast to Coast) has signed and returned their original contract. We have issued a PO to KCDA. The Notice to Proceed (NTP), dated May 23, 2022, has been sent to Coast to Coast. Track contractor – FieldTurf (Beynon) has signed the contract.

March 7, 2022
Working with KCDA to get contracts fully executed.  The turf submittals have been approved.

KCDA is processing the contracts with the contractors.

We've received pricing for both the synthetic turf field and synthetic track surface. AstroTurf Corporation will do the synthetic turf scope of the project. The submitted price is $608,355. Beynon Sports Surfaces will do the synthetic track scope of the project work. The submitted price is $402,457. Documents have been submitted to KCDA for review and pricing verification. 

December 1, 2021
The design work and project manual are complete.  Pricing from the vendor is due on December 15.

The design team is continuing to work on the design elements for the field and track.
