To address maintenance staffing shortage and improve response time to key issues we purchased an electronic key machine and mobile unit. It automatically stores preset key patterns.

Starting in the spring of 2020 students newly enrolling or returning to Everett Public schools have had the option to complete the enrollment process through an online enrollment portal. This innovation allows families to complete enrollment paperwork from the comfort of their homes - or in anticipation of moving in to the Everett Public Schools attendance area, streamlining enrollment processes and increasing the consistency between the information provided by families and information in systems used by schools and classrooms. The enrollment system is available through both computer and mobile platforms, and can be used by families in English, Spanish, Russian and Vietnamese - increasing equity and access for families.

To address the custodial staffing shortage and the need to vacuum classrooms nightly, we purchased 10 robotic vacuums to test for use in hallways, classrooms and CRC meeting rooms.

The 1st Annual Community Resource Fair was held on May 2022.  All families from the Everett School District were invited as a way to learn about important resources and community partners serving schools.  Over 31 providers attended the fair, with 70 families being able to connect personally with resource providers and/or sign-up for services! Some of the providers included: DCYF, Community Health Plan of WA, Snohomish County Legal Services, the Arc of Snohomish County, and the Boys and Girls club.  Surprises for the children included lots of donated give-aways, the kids copter from Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue, and yummy snacks!

There was also an opportunity for families with preschool and Kindergarten aged children to connect with Early Learning staff and enroll as necessary.  Surveys from vendors showed the importance of connecting not only to families, but to other service agencies.

The Resource Fair will become an annual event, held each Spring.
