When school is canceled or starts late, what are the impacts on school programs?
-
A decision to close or delay school is usually made in the morning by 5 a.m. In the interest of student and community safety, schools are either closed for an entire day, or start 2 hours later than normal. Those schedule changes can have unique impacts on some school programs or school activities.
The list below helps explain what will happen to those programs or how parents can get more information about programs on days when school is canceled or delayed. During inclement weather, parents and staff should check the district website, TV, or radio broadcasts.
If there is no announcement about school schedules, schools will be in session and start on time.
