Mar. 12, 2026: Cascade High School teacher named Washington Journalism Adviser of the Year
Cascade High School (CHS) teacher Stephen Sibley has been named the Washington Journalism Education Association (WJEA) Adviser of the Year. The award was presented at the WJEA Spring Conference at Central Kitsap High School in Silverdale on March 7.

Mar. 9: Everett High counselor named Washington School Counselor of the Year
Everett Public Schools is excited to announce Everett High School Counselor Gretchen Stiger has been named the 2026 Washington School Counselor of the Year by the Washington School Counselor Association (WSCA). Stiger received the award on March 5 during the WSCA conference with a crowd of proud colleagues.

Everett Public Schools is proud to share that the College Board has named Cascade High School, Everett High School, and Jackson High School to the 2025 Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll. Cascade and Everett high schools earned the Bronze distinction, while Jackson High School earned the Gold distinction.

At last night’s school board meeting, the Everett Public Schools Board of Directors officially welcomed three elected board members who were sworn in to begin their new terms: Director Jen Hirman, Director Anna Marie Jackson Laurence, and Director Shaina Langley.

Nov. 21, 2025: Everett Public Schools Board Earns 2025 Board of Distinction Honor
Everett Public Schools is proud to announce that the Everett Public Schools Board of Directors has been awarded the Washington State School Directors’ Association (WSSDA) “Board of Distinction” designation for 2025. This marks the tenth time the board has earned this prestigious honor, having previously been recognized in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. In 2014, the board was additionally named WSSDA Board of the Year.

Nov. 18, 2025: Everett Public Schools Celebrates AP Capstone Diploma Recipients
Every year, a group of students chooses the harder path; one filled with original research, big questions, and college-level work. This year, that path led 48 Everett Public Schools graduates to earn the AP Capstone Diploma™ and 38 more to earn the AP Seminar and Research Certificate™. The AP Capstone Diploma program helps students develop critical thinking, research, collaboration, and presentation skills that are essential to academic and career success.

Everett Public Schools is proud to announce a historic achievement: the district’s four-year, on-time graduation rate for the Class of 2025 has reached 96.3%, the highest in district history. Everett Public Schools continues to have one of the highest graduation rates in the state.

Oct. 14, 2025: Investing in learning spaces and student support: Everett Public Schools announces 2026 bond and levy
The Everett Public Schools Board of Directors approved placing two measures on the February 10, 2026, special election ballot: a School Construction Bond and a renewal of the expiring Education Levy. The unanimous vote took place during the October 14, 2025, regular business meeting.

Oct. 8, 2025: Jackson High student named 2026 National Merit semifinalist
Henry M. Jackson High School senior Eliza Tsang has been named a 2026 National Merit Scholarship semifinalist. Eliza joins a select group of more than 16,000 students nationwide whose exceptional PSAT scores qualify them for semifinalist status. Her achievement places her among the top scorers in Washington State, representing fewer than 1% of high school juniors in the U.S.

October 7, 2025: School-Based Health Services are now open at Cascade and Everett High Schools
The Community Health Center of Snohomish County (CHC) is proud to announce the addition of two new school-based health centers in Everett Public Schools. The centers are now operating out of Everett and Cascade high schools.
