Our district promotes inclusive belonging for all.
The School Board adopted the Gender Inclusive Schools Policy 3213P in June of 2016. This policy, along with ours, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Policy 0010 serves as the foundation to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students, staff, and families. Additionally, on June 1, 2024 our district hosted our third annual PRIDE Day event within our district and raised the PRIDE flag in support of our LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and families. We encourage our schools, staff, families, and students to show their pride and allyship throughout the year and recognize June as LGBTQIA+ Pride month. Below are other significant dates:
- Solidarity Week - November 7-11th
- Transgender Awareness Week - November 13-19th
- Transgender Day of Remembrance - November 20th
- International Transgender Day of Visibility - March 31st
- Day of Silence - April 22nd
- PRIDE Month - Month of June
