As we move toward the summer the Special Services staff is working on designing Recovery Services for our students who receive special services. All case managers have received professional development on the process and should be reaching out to you very soon. We anticipate that we will be offering various kinds of recovery services for the next couple of years. This summer will the first opportunity for services. We understand that some families may not want to take advantage of these services this summer-which is perfectly fine. There will be other opportunities in the next couple of years. Please see the link posted here from OSPI; we used these guidelines to develop our process.
As always please reach out to your case manager, first or Regional Special Services Director for questions.
