  • The Arc of Washington State is a great non-profit organization that works with youth with developmental disabilities and their families to promote quality education, health, independence, self-advocacy, and inclusion into the community. 

    PAVE is a non-profit organization that shares information and resources with people whose lives are linked to children and adults with disabilities. PAVE's resources include a free lending library of books and video tapes, a quarterly newsletter (PAVE Pipeline), bi-lingual/bi-cultural staff, a toll-free number, and free and low cost materials in a variety of formats and languages. 

    The Autism Society provides education on Autism and current news and information on Autism.
     
    Positively Autism is a free emagazine designed for parents, teachers, and individuals with Autism.

    The Washington Assistance Technology Act Program is a resource for people with disabilities, their caregivers, teachers and other professionals. WATA provides information, referrals, consultation, training, legal advice, technical consultation, and publications on assistive technology. They also help people connect with local resources. 

    Learning Disabilities Online is the leading web site for parents, teachers, and other professionals about learning disabilities. http://www.ldonline.org/ A web site dedicated to resources about Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, which includes support groups, articles, newsletter and links to other helpful sites on ADHD.

    Speaking of Speech is an interactive site targeted to speech/language pathologists and teachers to utilize for the purpose of improving communication at school. This site is also helpful for families to see the latest strategies being used to improve communication.
