Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) is located just east of Lake Washington in the city of Kirkland, with an additional branch campus in Redmond. With over 100 professional/technical degree and certificate options, and more than 40 diverse programs, LWTech provides innovative and high-demand workforce training options.Adults and youth have the opportunity to complete their high school diploma through three different programs: (To view details of each program, please click on the corresponding tabs below.)

Program Options

Lake Washington Technical Academy offers eligible high school junior and senior students, ages 16 to 20, the opportunity to concurrently train for a career and earn a high school diploma. Students have the opportunity to not only complete their high school diploma, but also work towards a college certificate or an Associate's degree. Classes are offered mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends to fit any schedule.All prospective students must attend a High School Options (HOP) Session. The Open Doors program is for students ages 16-20 who have either dropped out of high school or on the verge of dropping out and are interested in returning to school and completing their high school diploma. Students simultaneously accumulate high school and college credits, earning their high school diploma while progressing toward a certificate or associate's degree. Students receive a scholarship for tuition and books.All interested students must attend a High School Options (HOP) Session. The Adult High School Completion program at LWTech offers students a chance to earn a high school diploma in a variety of ways. Students can earn their diploma through competency-based skills courses or by taking college-level classes to complete missing graduation requirements from high school.Students who earn an associate degree through LWTech can request their high school diploma - an associate degree is considered equivalent to a diploma by the State of Washington.
