        Transition to Kindergarten
Transition to Kindergarten (TTK) is for children who are not currently attending an early learning program and will be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2026. The program focus is on building basic academic, social, and self-help skills. If you are interested in TTK and believe your child may qualify, please submit the Interest Form.         Monroe Elementary student to compete in Playmaker Playoff tournament
7-year-old Eli Thomas from Monroe Elementary is taking his athletic dreams to the national stage. After helping his team win the 2025 NFL FLAG Seattle Seahawks Regional Tournament, Eli was selected to compete in the Every Kid Sports “Playmaker Playoffs,” a nationwide bracket recognizing standout young athletes.         Student Release Guidelines
Parents and guardians have the right to choose to seek the release of their student during the school day for religious-related activities or instruction that occurs off school property, in accordance with District Policy 2340 and Procedure 2340P. The policy and procedure align with Washington State (RCW 28A.600.025) and federal law, with which the district is required to comply. Per the procedure, students may be excused for a portion of the school day provided the instruction takes place off-site and does not interfere with their regular classroom instructional time.
