Everett Public Schools is offering Transitional Kindergarten this winter for children who are not currently in an early learning program and are scheduled to enter kindergarten in the fall of 2020. Students will be screened in early January and may qualify based on need. The program will focus on basic academic, social, and self-help skills to jumpstart qualifying students toward success in school. Click link for more information.
Did you know we have a Special Education Advisory Council? Comprised of parents, community and staff members they serve as a proactive source of advocacy and support for children with special needs. They work together to foster a culture of equity and inclusion for special education throughout the district by providing guidance and recommendations to align special education services and long-range planning to programs driven by student learning.
i-Ready is an online program for reading and/or mathematics that will help your child’s teacher(s) determine your child’s needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the school year. i-Ready allows your teacher(s) to meet your child exactly where they are and provides data to increase your child’s learning gains. i-Ready consists of two parts: Diagnostic and Instruction.
