Google created Chromebooks as affordable laptop alternatives, operating on the internet-centric Chrome OS. Google Apps provide students with a base suite of tools and diverse educational applications, promoting collaboration and creativity through the internet.
In Everett, each student has a unique login using their ID# followed by @apps.everettsd.org within the Google for Education environment. Google offers essential applications like word processing, spreadsheet calculations, presentations, and various creative tools.
Everett Public Schools' Google domain enables quick idea sharing and efficient work among students, teachers, and staff. Access the EPS Google Apps where you can create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and collaborate in real-time from school or home.

Elementary School Chromebooks are touchscreen and provide at school/at home filtering set up specifically for elementary students.
Middle School Chromebooks - were selected for its inking capability, durability, and ease of use. It can function as a tablet or laptop. Each middle school student receives a laptop with power cord, battery-free digitized garaged pen and protective case.
Each device is equipped with:
- Front and world-facing cameras
- Ports for power, USB drives, MicroSD card reader
- Combination microphone and audio jack
- Absolute data & device security, GoGuardian for teacher classroom management
Families can purchase optional insurance, using one of the many companies who offer laptop and device insurance online, such as Worth Ave. Group. When selecting coverage, please refer to the replacement costs table within the handbook for the appropriate value of your student device.
