  • Dear friends,

Thank you for being such a great partner with us as we work to ensure our students receive the best education possible while staying safe and healthy. It has been fantastic seeing grades K-5 back in the building, along with special services.

We are pleased to announce on Monday, April 19, we will be moving to stage 5 learning model status unless circumstances require a delay. This is a return to the classroom for middle and high school students who choose in person.

Initially, we planned to bring some of our middle and high school students at the end of April. We accelerated this process when Governor Inslee announced last Friday that all K-12 students return to in person learning at least two days per week by April 19.

All middle and high school families have received a survey asking if their student will move to in-person learning or stay learning remotely for the remainder of the school year. Survey results will be used to determine the learning model format and schedules based on family choice and COVID safety protocols.

We will continue to watch COVID case trend lines and follow appropriate health and safety protocols as we bring more of our amazing students back into our buildings.

    Be safe and be well,

    Dr. Ian B. Saltzman, Superintendent
