Superintendent's Message, November 5, 2024

  • Dear Everett Public Schools community,

November is a busy month, beginning with parent-teacher conferences. These meetings offer an important time for families and teachers to discuss each student’s progress, strengthening our partnership with families to support student success.

We are continuing our Instructional Reviews across the district to focus on classroom learning and ways to support students and teachers. These reviews help us see student growth and identify areas for improvement, keeping us aligned with our strategic plan and goals for academic success. I encourage you to watch our Parent University video, which explains more about Instructional Reviews, by clicking on this link.

November also brings an opportunity to honor our veterans and military families. As we recognize Veterans Day, I encourage everyone in Everett Public Schools to reflect on the dedication and service of those who have served. Their contributions strengthen our communities and inspire us all.

This month, we also observe Native American Heritage Month, a time to honor and celebrate the traditions, language, and stories of Indigenous communities and ensure their rich histories and contributions continue to thrive with each passing generation.

As Thanksgiving Break approaches, I hope you find time to connect with family and friends, reflect on what matters most, and create cherished moments and traditions. I am grateful for your continued support of Everett Public Schools and the many blessings we share that make our community so special.

    Be safe and be well,

    Dr. Ian B. Saltzman
