  • Dear Everett Public Schools community,

March is here, and with it comes the energy of the second half of the school year! It is an exciting time as students dive deeper into their learning, plan for next year, and take advantage of new opportunities.

If you have a child starting kindergarten in the fall, now is the time to enroll. Early enrollment helps families prepare and ensures a smooth transition for our youngest learners. Meanwhile, middle and high school students are selecting their courses for next year, a great chance to explore interests, challenge themselves, and set goals.

For high school students looking ahead to summer, registration is now open for the Everett Career Link Summer Program. This hands-on learning opportunity allows students to gain real-world experience, build skills, and explore potential career pathways. I encourage students to take advantage of this valuable experience.

March is also a time to celebrate the arts as we recognize 27 years of our Student Art Shows. Our talented student artists continue to inspire us with their creativity and dedication, and we are proud to showcase their incredible work.

In addition to celebrating our students, this month we recognize two essential groups of staff who make a tremendous impact in our schools. During School Social Work Week, we honor the invaluable support our school social workers provide to students and families, ensuring their well-being and success. Later this month, we celebrate Education Support Professionals Week, recognizing the paraeducators, office staff, bus drivers, nutrition services teams, and so many others who help our schools run smoothly every day. Their contributions are deeply appreciated.

Thank you to our students, families, and our amazing staff and educators for your dedication and hard work. Let us keep the momentum going and make the rest of the school year a great one!

    Be safe and be well,
