Appointed: June 2024

Vanessa Covarrubias is a Sequoia High School junior.  She currently works in the school’s Teen Family Day Care and is a collaborative, kind, and focused student. She joined the school board to build valuable connections for all students and bring empathy for students across all schools, ability levels, and cultures. Vanessa values a positive attitude, respect, active listening, and student voice. She will serve a two-year term as a school board representative through 2025-26.
