  • Dear friends:

February is a month that has a lot to celebrate. The first week of February is School Counseling Week. I am so proud of our school counselors every day but am happy to celebrate them in February. I am grateful for the care, motivation, inspiration and support they give students. A big thank you to all of our counselors!

February is also Career and Technical Education (CTE) month. Learning is different for everyone and CTE offers many ways to learn both in the classroom and opportunities outside the classroom. Thank you CTE teachers, you are the best!

Black History month is also commemorated in February. During Black History Month we honor the achievements and central role of African Americans throughout US history.  If you visit our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion web page under February National Observances, you can find many resources on how to increase your personal cultural awareness of this national observance.

And of course, in addition to all of these observances, we have also started the second semester. Keep up the hard work and finish the semester strong. I appreciate all your amazing work you do every day for students.

    Stay safe and be well,

    Ian
