Purpose
The Fiscal Advisory Council (FAC) is an advisory group made up of community members, students, and staff that provides guidance and advice to the superintendent and superintendent’s cabinet on fiscal matters based on a strong understanding of the district’s anticipated revenues and expenditures and focused on student success and achievement of our strategic initiatives.
Each school year from fall to late spring the FAC works in conjunction with the district’s finance department and members of the superintendent's cabinet to review information and gain insights about the district’s fiscal position and the state’s legislative session. Throughout this process the FAC is asked to provide advice and feedback guiding development of the district’s operating budget for the following year that anticipates and responds to a wide range of potential legislative and other outcomes affecting projected revenues and expenditures.
