Superintendent's Message, August 28, 2023
-
Dear families –
I hope summer has been enjoyable and you have been able to spend some time relaxing and enjoying this incredible weather. I also hope you have been able to weave learning into break, as we have many opportunities available to our students.
I am so proud of the more than 700 students who took advantage of summer academy and took classes over the summer, as well as those who engaged in each week’s science, math, reading and writing activities with our Wild About Learning summer learning program. I am also proud of the 25 students who worked hard to be able to graduate on August 17 at our summer graduation.
The staff have also been working hard over the last month to ensure we have a great start to the new year. This is going to be a year of new adventures, experiences, and a lot of learning. I cannot wait to see the students in the classroom again. I hope they are as excited about returning as I am!
Our team of amazing teachers, administrators and staff will be there to welcome your child on September 6, and together we are all going to have an amazing year.
Have a great opening day and school year, and as always, thank you for your partnership in education.
Be safe and be well,
Dr. Ian B. Saltzman, Superintendent
