Benefits

  • Everett Public Schools offers a comprehensive suite of benefits to support you and your eligible family members, including domestic partners and children. Our benefits don't stop at just medical and dental. There are a variety of options available to care for the whole YOU - continuing education, wellness and support programs, and programs to help you grow financially.

  • Health Benefits

  • All K-12 school districts, educational service districts, and charter schools participate in the Washington State Health Care Authority SEBB Program. The SEBB Program administers health care packages and other benefits for eligible school employees statewide. Program benefits include:

    • Fully and self-insured medical plans with prescription drug benefits
    • Dental and Vision plans
    • Life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance
    • Long-term disability insurance
    • Medical and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
  • Retirement and Investments

  • District employees who work 17.5 or more hours per week will contribute to the State of Washington Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) pension plan options.  Most new employees have 90 days from their hire date to make their plan selection between Plan 2 or Plan 3.  Some DRS retirees can now work up to 1,040 hours without compromising their pension benefits.

  • Optional Employee Benefits

  • Basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance is standard and is offered at no additional cost in all employee benefit packages. Employees can also enroll in supplemental life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance for themselves and all eligible dependents.

  • Support Networks

  • Healthy staff and teachers are our most valuable resource for creating safe and supportive learning environments. Everett Public Schools subscribes to a number of services available to all staff to serve as a resource during different challenges that life can bring.

  • Education Benefits

  • Everett Public Schools offers programs to encourage classified staff to become teachers and to retain teachers in shortage areas. Additionally, a number of professional learning opportunities are supported throughout various district departments to support you and grow in your collaboration with other departments.

  • Leave Options

  • Everett Public School employees are eligible for paid leave accumulations upon hire, depending on the position. Collectively bargained agreements, district leave policies, federally protected leave, and state paid leave are all considered for each unique situation.
