Transcripts Credits Clock Hours

Transcripts
- Official transcripts will be required for your personnel file for your bachelor’s degree & beyond. Transcripts must be in a sealed envelope or electronically submitted via escript directly from the college or university to be considered "official". Send directly to your C&C support team member or HRRecords@everettsd.org. It is recommended ordering two sets of transcripts – one for personal recordkeeping and one to submit to Human Resources.
- Official transcripts must be received in the Human Resources Department no later than October 10. If this deadline is not met, salary adjustments will be made the following contract year.
Credits
- Credits must be earned from a regionally accredited college or university. Credits must be transferable or applicable to a bachelor’s or more advanced degree program (100 level or above).
- Credits used for salary placement purposes are posted as quarter credits. Semester credits are converted to quarter credits (one semester credit equals 1.5 quarter credits).
Clock Hours
- Course work for Credits and Clock hours must be completed and earned before October 1st.
- To be eligible, clock hours used for salary placement must be earned from a Washington State Professional Educator Standards Board-approved clock hour provider. The clock hours issued by the approved provider must be on the OSPI approved in-service registration form or approved in-service transcript. For a current list of approved Clock Hour Providers. Human Resources will print Everett School District transcripts and process courses, but it is the employee’s responsibility to review the transcripts for accuracy.
- If not already completed upon hire, a transfer of records can be requested from your previous employer allowing the forwarding of all official transcripts, clock hours, and experience forms in an official format. It is the employee’s responsibility to submit those forms and follow up with their previous employer.
- Clock hours are converted to credits for salary placement. Ten (10) clock hours equals one (1) quarter credit on the salary schedule.
