    New Employees Eligible for TRS/SERS Retirement Plans If you’re new to Everett Public Schools and eligible for a Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) or School Employees’ Retirement System (SERS) plan, you have 90 days from your hire date—or from a qualifying change in your work hours—to choose your retirement plan. This deadline is set by the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS). Timely selection is important to ensure your enrollment reflects your preferred plan option.

    Once you are ready to submit for your retirement or resignation, please complete the district's Notice of Resignation/Retirement online form in Frontline Central (you can find the forms under the "My Forms" menu -> "Forms I Can Start"). 

    PEBB Retirement Coverage Overview Upon retirement, your benefit coverage transitions to the Public Employees Benefits Board (PEBB) program. As a retiree, you may be eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with optional term life insurance. To learn more about available plans and enrollment procedures, please visit the Washington State Health Care Authority website or refer to your PEBB retirement materials.
